This powdered soy sauce is made by boiling down tamari soy sauce lees, which have an incredibly strong and rich flavor, and natural tamari soy sauce, and seawater from the Sea of Japan.
The mixture is dried into a powder and then mixed with the delightfully refreshing sansho Japanese pepper. Sansho pepper is a close relative of the Sichuan pepper, and gives the same tingly-spicy sensation, but with a much stronger citrus flavor.
Sprinkle this powder on rice, fried foods like tempura, steak, sashimi, and even ice cream to enjoy a wonderful flavor sensation!
